Cultural Differences and Similarities in two countries

     There are a millions differences and similarities among the world. These are not only in one country, but also these are between two countries or could be among world. Even though I try to count them, absolutely I can't do by the end. But, there are some differences and similarities at three big places between my home country, Japan and the US that you would experience. 

      First of all, you could not ignore food differences. Basically, American people like thick and strong tast and smell. It's seen on burgers. American add ketchup and mustard on them though it tastes enough, Japanese, in the other hand, add nothing on them. About shape of bathroom, in the United States, bathroom includes a bath or shower, a restroom, and a washstand. However, they are separated each rooms in Japan. Also, when I take bath, tab is filled with hot water, but, all by shower in the United States. people in the US walk in the house with shoes on, Japanese don't oppositely. You can feel confortable when you try to live alone in apartment. Because the shape of apartment in the US is almost similar to Japanese one. If you don't pay much money, you can live confortable as if you are in Japan.
     Outside the house, you can have experience that you can't do in Japan, for example, guns and gambles. If you want to shoot gun, you can at shooting range. If you go to Las Vegas, you can get million dollars instead all of your life. The way trafic goes is one of most different thing. Right side passing and left side handle in the US, in contrast, it is completely opposite side in Japan. Seven Eleven, Circle K, or something like convenience stores are same as in Japan. They have many foods, drinks, or tools. Moreover, the name of the stores are definitely same like Seven Eleven or Circle K.
     You can meet differences and similarities in subculture. Subculture means 'culture for all people'. For example, sports, cartoons or animations, and movies. In a baseball stadium, fan in the US are just watching the game, differently, fan in Japan are playing the game as if they are one of the teammates. But, both of fan in two countries are similar to be delighted and happy shocked and disappointed when team they follow won or lost the game. Likewise American want fun and laugh in cartoons or animation, Japanese want not them and impression or deep meaning, in the case, but also sadness or disappointing in them. In the movie theater, American people express their emotions with action, on the other hand, Japanese movie theater is really quiet for American people because they don't like kind of noise during a movie.
     You can see many differences and similarities at three big place in two these countries. In fact, there are more differences than similarities, however, you could be happy when you find similarities in differences. You can experience many things that you cannot do in Japan, but, you should not try to do them too much, because they would bring risks. Most important thing is that take the differences or similarities to the other country and tell the people about your experience.

1, I usually don't pay attention to advertisement on web site such as ads on the side line of main articles. But, I'm really care and annoyed by them online when I see online by iPhone. I think this is because of the size of display. More smaller size of screen, I'm more annoyed about them.

2, No, I don't think so. Because some people don't feel good about busy and annoying online advertisement like me. On TV is the best way to advertise.

3, When it is kind of movie, if famous person is in it, like athlete or actor, they would get my eyes to pay attention to them.

Title:3 kinds of restaurants that I had in Arizona.

    How many kinds of food can you eat in Arizona? There are many kinds of Asian foods because Arizona state is located close to California state. California state has large harbor which is connected with a lot of Asian countries. I missed Asian food when I visited to Boston even four days. I didn't know why I missed and what I missed for. Anyway, here are three kinds of Asian restaurants, which are Chinese,  Korean, and Thai, that I had before in order to help my host mother to fix dinner.
     A restaurant that I had for the first time since I came to Arizona was Chinese. They have really delicious shrimp. This was first time when I had Chinese food at the other country from Japan. I was surprised at that the shrimp meal was more expensive than beef or chicken. Because I can have shrimp cheaper than beef or chicken in Japan, usually. I had Com Pao Shrimp or something like that. I was having with sweating. When I had that, we took out the dishes. They also have delivery service. So, you can have nice meals kept warming. Moreover, the meals were enough amount to be full for 8 or 9 dollars. My host mother left half of meals, then I had the left over next morning. In fact, we planned to have Mexican food that night, but we had to change the plan for some things happened. However, I'm glad for changing mind to Chinese so far.
     I had Korean food the other day. They have many kinds of Korean meals like Bi bim bab, or Korean BBQ. I could not choose the meals because I have not eaten Korean food even I was in Japan. I think I chose Bi bim bab for my friend's recommendation. But, a server brought many side dishes we don't order. I didn't know this is Korean restaurant style. Many side dishes are with one table. Bi bim bab smelled very spicy. Actually, hotness was helping it to let my tongue burned. I suffered from tongue burned for a few days due to Bi bim bab. At table next to us, they made Korean BBQ. It looked and smelled really nice and it was similar to Japanese BBQ.
     On first of October, I think I had Thai food. The name of the restaurant is Thai Basil. When I went to the restaurant, I got recommended to have a thai curry and rice. So, I ordered that for medium spicy level, but, it was much more spicy than I thought. It was hard to eat all of them. And I can't allow to put zucchini in curry, they did! Although I said these complaining, I liked that. While this restaurant is located close to ASU, you can go having nice curry easily.
     When I visit to Boston, on east coast, I didn't see any Asian food restaurant. There were many European restaurant. This is because Boston is nearby European west coast. A pasta dish that I had in Boston was actually delicious. These three kinds of Asian food have one thing in common was they contents of rice. This is why I missed Asian food and fit me because I just want to have rice in the end. If you are from Asian country, I recommend west coast than east coast.

summary for week 6

     Color is an important part of our lives. First of all, red color will get adrenaline in our body produced and enhance our appetite. Also, Cynthia Cornell, a researcher of color, says green has a good effect for people have turmoil in their lives, because it is easiest color for the eye to process. In some store, you could see many products covered with yellow color. Yellow is the first color that your eye process. This is why they use yellow to indicate sale item. It you want to reduce you weight, you had better change your table sheet to blue. One researcher showed that blue gets rid appetite of us because there is no natural blue color food in the world. You should include small amount of bright red in your wardrobe if you get a new job and you want people to remember you. Moreover, you could make great relationships in the U.S. when you in dark blue. In the U.S., dark blue was related with responsibility or respectability for a long time.   

A paragraph describing my home in my country

     When I get to my home after finish this learning abroad program, I would feel smell, sight, or sounds which I've never noticed. Although smell usually comes into my nose first of all, I will not be able to help looking at the biggest change of interior because I heard that my mother said my parents decided to renovate kitchen and bathroom. It must be cleaned up and gain bright again. Next could be a smell like a Japanese food. My mother promised that she will wait with usual great handmade meals. I don't expect great meals are the special. I'm going to be really happy that would usual meal like a grilled fish. Probably, I will feel home sound as soon as we approach for my home town. Because we would often use the highway to go to anywhere, even if we use the highway to go home. I expect that these smell, sight, and sounds will welcome me to come back. If they do that, I would not miss my home town when I leave for the U.S. next time.  

Summary of week5

     Today is 'Cyber Monday', which is the biggest day of discounting in online. It came from 'black Friday' is large discount on the any store in the U.S. It's named that because many marchant change the red ink to black ink for recording earning. I don't know why the Monday named 'Cyber Monday'. But, the reason that online shopping have the biggest discount on the day. This discount is not only in the U.S., also all over the world. So, many economists in the world pay their attention to U.S. economic.

The summary of my article [Nov.13.12]

     I selected Banana as a topic of summary, today. I was anxious about banana because I had a banana as a lunch today. In addition to that reason, when I started to search about banana news, I found the article. According to the article, the price of banana in Japan is going down because relationship between Japan and China is getting worse. Then, I decided that search about trading process of banana between Japan and Philippine and write summary.

     Now, the big problem about national territory around South China Sea. There are huge amount of resources under the sea ground. China aims this. But, the sea is a property of countries in South Asia. Then, the national relationship between Philippine and China got tense. Chinese government decided that they get import of banana made in Philippine decreased. It is in order to let Philippine suffer from problem in export. However, the banana which lost the way to go flew into Japanese banana market. That is why the price of banana in Japan is going down.

It could make the our potential ability to heal scars and revitarize the skin problem like oily skin or dry skin. That is because Aloe Vera Gel has vitamin C and E. Also, the vitamin work for anti-aging and keep the skin moisturized. Moreover, Aloe vera gel can hide and heal quickly the scar after scab has come off. Finally, it will make great job when you get a sunburn. If you put the gel on sunburn, the pain is getting less and recoverd quickly. But, when you get burned your tongue due to hot coffee, don't bite wild Aloe on a road.

Summary of Article [Nov.5.12]

     The asia-europe summit was held on Monday in Bankok, Thailand. The summit includes 50 asian countries and European countries that relates with European Nations. Then, Bangladesh, Switzerland and Norway added as newcomers.
     In the summit, they majorly talked about that to make stronger relationships between Asian countries and European countries and ASEAN. Also, they dropped spotlight on China. The one of reasons that they want China to solve an issue about Tibet or protecting human rights. The other reason is that European Nations desire to strengthen the relationship with China in order to make trade bigger.

Things that I read and write

     Things that I read everyday for pleasure are Facebook, Twitter and Ameba blog. Facebook is for knowing something happened in Arizona or NBA. Twitter is for getting contacts with my friends in Japan. Also, I read Ameba blog to know that my favorite person who show up in Japanese TV is doing anything.

     Things that I read to get information is also Twitter. I forrow the account of Asahi Shinbun international report. This is one of major newspaper publishing company account. This account reports not only global news, but also domestic news.

     Situations that I usually write when I tweet on twitter, facebook. And when I write (tipe) e-mail for my family.

     Situations that I use formal language are when I talk to my teacher or present something in front of many students. And situation that I use informal language is just when I talk to my friends and family.
